How does Accent™ XL work?
Accent uses three mechanisms to improve your body’s shape and tighten the skin. It applies deep dermal heating to bring about new collagen formation and skin remodeling. By increasing blood circulation, the procedure also helps release trapped fluids and toxins from fat cells. Finally, its thermal activity shrinks connective tissue, improving the skin’s contour, texture and architecture.
Collagen Response to Treatment
The Bipolar Handpiece generates heat within the dermis. This dermal heating releases the collagen bonds and unwinds the collagen bundles. Fibroblasts are released to the surrounding area, stimulating the growth of new collagen. The result - a thickening of the dermal layer and improvement in skin surface texture over time.
Cellulite Response to Treatment
Deep dermal heating applied to the dermis with the Unipolar handpiece increases localized metabolism and blood circulation. Triglycerides and free fatty acids trapped within the adipocytes are released into the bloodstream, causing shrinkage of these cells. What is the treatment like?
During the procedure, the Accent system is used to precisely heat the tissue just within your skin's inner layer (dermis). Depending on the size of the treated area, a treatment may take up to 45 minutes. Following each treatment, you can immediately resume all routine activities. You may notice a slight redness, which should disappear in less than 24 hours. Generally, four to six treatments at two to three weeks intervals will be required.
Does it hurt?
While pain tolerance is subjective, most people tolerate this treatment well, and have little or no discomfort. Client often describe the sensation as a “warm massage”. The risk of significant side effects is extremely low.
When will I see results?
